After working with a lot of guitarists, talking body styles, pickups and other specs, we found that too many options can be paralyzing. We still offer all those options as “custom” models for those that want to choose every element of their instrument. But we feel the best way to envision what we can do is to consider our standard models, which are very well spec’d with high quality hardware and electronics. We’ve just cut down the options.

Our build approach for our standard guitar models is straight-forward:

  • Choose from our 3 body styles/profiles - T-Type, S-Type or Offset

  • Choose Hard-tail or Tremolo style

  • Choose a trim level - Standard or Deluxe

  • Choose the pickup configuration that suits your needs

Standard Specs:

  • Body - Reclaimed/salvaged solid wood with ergonomic heel in a variety of species, including heart pine, mahogany, Santa Maria and others.

  • Neck: A 25.5" scale multi-piece laminate core neck, in reclaimed maple or reclaimed mahogany. 1 11/16" nut width, vintage C shape (slightly fuller).

    Fingerboard: 9.5” radius is standard. We typically offer a variety of reclaimed tropical species on standard models, with your choice of teak or rock walnut. Upgrades include zebrawood and other figured reclaimed tropical species. 22 frets (Jescar).

  • Bridge - Hipshot 6-saddle Contour hardtail or Hipshot Contour tremolo bridge are standard.

  • Pickups - Standard models include our StoryWood custom pickups made locally by Artisan Guitar Electronics. We also offer pickups from Seymour Duncan, Dimarzio and Bare Knuckle as upgrades. Standard pickup configurations include 3 strat-style, 2 tele-style, 2 humbuckers or 2 P90s. Many other options are available as an upgrade.

  • Tuning Machines - HipShot Tuning Machines are standard. Your choice of closed or open gear.

  • Controls - Pickup selector (blade or toggle), Volume/Tone with electrosocket output jack.

Hardware: Standard is Black or Chrome, with Gold as an upgrade

Deluxe Models include:

  • Body: Figured, book-matched reclaimed wood body facing/top

  • Fingerboard: Your choice of available reclaimed/salvaged exotic tropical or figured woods

Custom options include:

  • Custom fingerboard inlays

  • Laminated/layered body woods

  • Piezo saddles and Graph-tech pre-amp

  • Neck binding in reclaimed wood or ABS

SWG-1 Standard, Deluxe & Custom - The T-Type
