Vaughan Furniture Company Factory

While watching an episode of Salvage Dawgs on the DIY Network, we were immediately intrigued by the beautiful mahogany lap wall paneling the team salvaged from the offices of the Vaughan Furniture Company in Galax, Virginia. The Vaughan Furniture Company opened their doors in 1923 and was a major employer in the area until finally closing its doors in 2008.

We ventured to Roanoke, VA to Black Dog Salvage and were able to secure a small stash of this excellent, lightweight mahogany for our instruments.
